1. Seller
These goods are sold by Honza Borysek, sole trader, registered identification number (IČO) 88061051, with place of business at Pobřežní 97/40, 186 00 Praha, Czech Republic. The seller is not a VAT payer. Contact: build@modumodu.eu. MODU MODU is a brand operated by the seller through the website modumodu.eu. The rings are handmade by goldsmith Jakub Linger, sole trader, IČO 69032505, Revoluční 767/25, 110 00 Praha.
2. Products and prices
Prices are shown in euro (EUR) and are final; the seller is not a VAT payer, so no VAT is added. Shipping, where applicable, is shown separately at checkout. Every ring is made to order and hand-numbered in sequence. Product photographs are illustrative. Because each piece is finished by hand, minor variations in finish, tone or numbering are normal and do not constitute a defect.
3. Order and contract
A binding purchase contract is formed when you complete payment through our checkout and receive an order-confirmation email from us. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into this contract, and that you have read and accept these Terms.
4. Payment
You can pay securely by debit or credit card, or with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Revolut Pay, or Klarna, depending on what is available to you at checkout. Payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe; card details are entered directly with the provider and we never receive or store your full card number. If you choose Klarna, your payment is provided by Klarna under its own terms, including pay-later or instalment options where offered, and Klarna may run its own assessment as a separate provider.
5. Shipping and delivery
All items are made to order and ship from Prague, Czech Republic, normally within 7 to 14 days of your order being placed. Available shipping methods, delivery rates and any free-shipping threshold are shown at checkout before you pay. Delivery times outside the Czech Republic depend on the destination and the carrier. Please check your parcel on receipt; if it arrives damaged in transit, tell us at build@modumodu.eu within 48 hours and keep the packaging so we can resolve it.
Shipping methods, rates and transit times currently offered at checkout:
| Destination | Rate | Transit (business days) |
|---|---|---|
| EU | €5 standard · free for orders €100 and over | 3–5 |
| United Kingdom | €8 tracked | 4–6 |
| United States / Canada | €12 tracked | 6–10 |
| Australia / Japan | €18 tracked | 8–12 |
Production lead time of 7 to 14 days precedes transit. Other destinations on request via build@modumodu.eu.
6. Right of withdrawal (14 days)
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the day on which you, or a third party designated by you, take physical possession of the goods, without giving any reason.
To exercise the right, inform us by a clear statement, by email at build@modumodu.eu or using the model form below. Return the goods unworn, undamaged and in their original packaging to: Honza Borysek, Pobřežní 97/40, 186 00 Praha, Czech Republic.
We will refund all payments received from you, including the cost of standard delivery, within 14 days of being informed, using the same means of payment you used, unless you expressly agree otherwise. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have supplied proof of return. If the returned goods show signs of handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, we may reduce the refund accordingly. As a courtesy, we cover the return shipping cost for EU customers; outside the EU you bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
7. Complaints and defective goods
You have statutory rights if the goods are defective. As a consumer, you may exercise rights from defective performance within 24 months of receiving the goods. If your item has a defect, report it to build@modumodu.eu with your order number and a description (photos help). We will handle the complaint and provide repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund as required by applicable consumer law.
8. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Nothing in these Terms affects your mandatory rights as a consumer.
If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, consumers may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. The authority responsible for out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes and for consumer-protection supervision in the Czech Republic is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, coi.cz).
